Bruce Briggs Memorial Scholarship

The International Plant Production Society (IPPS) Western Region awards the Bruce Briggs Memorial Scholarship to deserving students in agriculture and horticulture educational programs to attend the next Western Region Conference.

This scholarship is given each year to college and/or university students who are studying plant production and demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing propagation or production as a career. The scholarship pays for students to attend the annual International Plant Production Society meeting held in the Western Region. Both the registration fee (includes most meals) and shared accommodations are covered by the scholarship. Travel costs are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.

The annual meeting gives students the opportunity to hear presentations on various areas of plant production and network with industry professionals. A tour of nursery facilities and affiliated businesses is an integral part of the scheduled activities. An added benefit of the award is a one-year student membership to IPPS. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible for a second scholarship.
